Light and Bright

Custom cream painted cabinets were necessary in this small kitchen to work around the original doors and walls with ample trim. By converting the butler pantry's window to a door, access was available to the back yard patio for good weather dining. Narrow island cabinets, included a cooktop with telescoping down draft, and topped with ornate tan granite sits between the exterior sink wall and the refrigerator wall.

Retro is always in style

This Celeste Lewis Designed kitchen is filled with detail and style. Multi colored cabinets create a cheerful environment. Black, slate-skate countertops with a black ceramic tile splash contrast the brightly colored barn red base cabinets and clear finished maple uppers.

The home owner created her own glass panels for upper cabinet doors and four glass tiles were installed behind the range. A multi colored cork floor brought comfort and warmth to those enjoying the kitchen. Custom open wall shelving created in the dining room create display nooks and an octopus ceiling light fixture with multi colored lenses cover the dining table and original cork floor with light.

European Flare

A turn of the century lumber baron built the original home and covered all walls and ceilings with old growth clear douglas fir lumber. The new custom kitchen cabinets were built using clear vertical grain douglas fir to match the rest of the home. Large ceramic tiles, laid on point, covered the floor to create a rugged and durable walking surface. Light granite countertops with a white ceramic tile splash reflected the ample under upper cabinet lighting throughout the room.

clean and elegant

Blood red pre-finished cork tiles with black edging create the base for custom maple cabinets. Granite countertops and a splash cover the base cabinets with under-cabinet lighting. A small built-in pantry was removed to create room for a desk area with storage above.

room with a view

A small "U" shaped kitchen and the dining room beyond (see before photo) were gutted to the studs. Included with a 4' x 20' addition plenty of space was available for this bright functional kitchen.

Custom maple cabinets with a clear finish provide sharp contrast with the cherry covered beams and trim around the upper cabinets. Light granite countertops are highlighted with darker stone backsplash creating clean durable work areas. Bamboo flooring provide a comfortable strong walking surface.

fully functional, no matter the space

A small galley kitchen was gutted to the studs and gently sloped roof beams. Three skylights were installed as well as two casement windows near the refrigerator end of the kitchen. This kitchen is loaded with light!

There are lights in each of the three skylight wells, four pendant lights hanging from the roof beams, lights above the upper cabinets illuminating the ceiling and lights under the upper cabinets illuminating the countertops. Recessed lights are above the sink and lights inside glass doored display cabinets. Custom painted cabinets at varied depths assure access around a large tear-dropped peninsula sitting area. Large ceramic floor tiles were installed on point to add to the feeling of depth in this very attractive kitchen.

A single large skylight well was installed in the ceiling of this kitchen with two separate skylights to encourage morning sun. White thermafoal cabinets sit above oak T&G flooring. Black Granite countertops and a splash created a sharp division between upper and base cabinets and provide clean durable working areas.

Classic in black and white

By gutting the original garage and raising its floor, a great room was created. Oak flooring, white thermafoal cabinets, and black laminated countertops make up the kitchen. While a decorative beam and two round pillars create a visual barrier defining the family room from the kitchen.

Farm house Flavor

Cherry cabinets with a clear finish and a shaker design make up this kitchen. Black granite countertops with a 4" splash create the work areas. While T&G oak with a light stain cover the floors.
